Do you design and/or facilitate trainings or workshops and want to create a more welcoming environment for people with disabilities and chronic health conditions?
Nearly 25% of adults in the U.S. and 16% globally live with a disability and approximately half of the global population is living with at least one chronic health condition*. In any given workshop or training, there will be many participants who are within these categories.
In this interactive workshop focused on the Universal Design principles, participants will explore the nuances and different models of disability and chronic illness, key areas of disability and health inclusion, and how you can put learnings into practice to improve your trainings. This workshop will be interactive requiring self-reflection and applied learning activities. By the end of this short workshop, you will be better prepared to create content and trainings where all people - no matter their ability or health status - can engage and feel a sense of belonging.
