In-Person or Virtual Workshops

We design and facilitate in-person, virtual, and blended workshops on inclusion topics for global participants from 10 - 250+ people. Below are example workshops that can be tailored to your specific context and needs. All workshops can be adapted to virtual settings.

Understanding and Transforming Conflict Training

JLC helps people and teams build essential skills to thrive in a complex world where conflict is inevitable, yet can have positive and innovative outcomes.

Workshops on conflict resolution can include:


  1. Conflict as a Catalyst for Positive Change: Understanding and building Emotional Intelligence, including identifying your conflict response style.
  2. Conflict and Win-Win: Does resolving conflict always require a compromise? This workshop helps participants understand unmet needs, grievances, and position versus interests.
  3. Communicating through Conflict: What do "non-violent," "abundant," or "positive" communication approaches mean? This workshop will focus on how we articulate our needs and communicate effectively in times of conflict.
  4. Conflict Resolution Approaches: What happens when conversations don't lead to positive outcomes and additional intervention is needed? This workshop will review three key conflict resolution approaches: mediation, negotiation, and dialogue.

Inclusive Leadership and Emotional Intelligence

This engaging workshop explores inclusive leadership through the lens of emotional intelligence. Throughout the workshop, staff will practice self-awareness and empathy by exploring what they need to feel a sense of belonging in the workplace and how our actions may intentionally or unintentionally exclude or include others.

An example agenda includes:

 

  • Welcome and Setting Group Interaction Guidelines
  • The Inclusive Leadership Path 
  • Connecting Emotional Intelligence
  • Scenario-based Group Learning
  • Action Planning
  • Mosaic Gallery Walk, Debrief and Closing


By engaging in personal reflection, intentional small group discussions, and creative activities, staff will leave with a better understanding of themselves, their colleagues, and how to further positive team relations  at your company.

Effective Training Design and Facilitation Series

Do you design or lead virtual or in-person workshops or training sessions? Join us for an effective training design and facilitation series occurring over three interactive sessions.

In this three-part series, you will:


  • Develop the skills needed to design and lead effective trainings for cross-cultural groups;
  • Engage in activities and discussions to grasp principles and methods for inclusive content and instruction design;
  • Practice your learning in real-time.


Participants should plan to attend all three sessions since each session builds off of the next. This event is for beginner or intermediate training designers and facilitators, or facilitators who are looking to refresh their skills. By the end of the three sessions, you will be better prepared to design and facilitate trainings to participants with diverse backgrounds.
